What is Craniosacral Therapy?

Craniosacral Therapy (CST) is a gentle, non-invasive, hands-on treatment that supports the body’s natural ability to heal and balance itself. Rooted in osteopathic medicine, CST works with the craniosacral system—made up of the membranes and cerebrospinal fluid that surround and protect the brain and spinal cord. By using soft, therapeutic touch—typically no more than the weight of a nickel—practitioners help to release restrictions and tensions deep within the body.

During a session, clients remain fully clothed and typically lie on a comfortable massage table. The practitioner gently places their hands on different areas of the body, tuning in to subtle rhythms and patterns to identify areas of imbalance or tension. Through skilled touch and presence, CST helps to restore the natural flow of the craniosacral rhythm, encouraging the nervous system to relax and reset.
